Plan To Put Text in Website

PLAN

I had to think what was going to work on the Website . Making the appropriate text stand out to catch the eye. Colour of the text also as I tried to make it consistent on all pages. The layout of text to make areas stand out to make the website easy to follow and navigate.

HOME  page is the first page.

The text Home was made larger to make it stand out and I placed the name of my company STAR PHOTOGRAPHY on this page and had to think what colour to use and the size.   I decided to go with the same shade of blue that was in my logo.I gave a small piece of information explaining that I was studying at Fife College, Halbeath Dunfermline. I was on the NC CREATIVE INDUSTRIES COURSE ( Audio, Video and Photography). Making the company name stand out and the course.

GRAPHIC DESIGN page.

My logo was placed on here with two pictures of how my design started and finished. It was created from a Celtic Theme and on Adobe Illustrator I made my own logo with a modern twist to it.The logo was made blue which worked well as was from a Sottish Company.

A poster that I had created for Scotia Air was placed at the  bottom centre. My theme for this holiday was aimed at families. On Adobe Illustrator I created the word FUN and made it stand out with bright colours and different size font and placed lollies and sun glasses on the poster. My company logo was inserted at  the bottom. The text Graphic Design  was made blue to match logo.

PHOTOGRAPHY page.

This page gives a few examples of my shots taken. Uploaded with Adobe Photo Shop to make images smaller. The text Photography was also made blue to keep the the same blue from the logo and text made bigger to stand out.

STOP MOTION page.

The text STOP MOTION  once again made blue and bigger to stand out. Here i inserted  a short animation that I had created using Jenga blocks . The blocks were removed slowly and loads of photos taken to give the idea of the blocks moving themselves. Then uploaded onto Adobe Premier Pro and music from Free sound was added. I then uploaded the animation onto You tube and then onto the Stop Motion Page.

QUALIFICATIONS page.

The qualifications was the the last one to give some information about my work. The text Qualifications was also made the same blue that had been on them all and the same as the logo, so it was consistent through out all the website. The same font was also used through out. Here I informed the reader about what qualifications I was studying at Fife College, Halbeath, Dunfermline also what other qualifications I had achieved through returning to college previously . Relevant information made to stand out.

Final Evaluation

Creating a Website was very interesting and was created using a blank template. My photographs were put in a folder Images. With use of Adobe Dream weaver started to create a Website.  I inserted some of my work that I had been doing in Graphic Design, Still Images and  Stop Motion. It was great to see a web page that I had created and was very pleased with how it had turned out.  I personally feel that I am not confident with the Adobe  Dream Weaver package but I’m sure through time it will not seem so daunting to me. Was a great project to  help me learn software that I had never used before.

PLAN FOR CREATION OF IMAGES

Created a folder named Images and inserted the photographs that I was going to use. If  any alterations were required the images were edited on Adobe Photo shop.Using tools like the Patch tool or the Clone tool being accessed from bar on the left side. Remembering to save image as a jpeg. Remember image to be small as possible.

Looked for image that I was going to use and checked that it was a jpeg file type. pressed ok .On Adobe Dream weaver remember to check the size of the image were 155 but later changed to 180 or use the crop tool making sure to change box unconstrained to square. Finally save for web. Save image double click to select image and insert where needed.

Stop Motion Animation

Who was in the group ?

Anne Milne,Lee-Anne Macleod and myself were in a group together to create a short animation.

What was the process we went through?

We worked very well together taking over 500 photos to create the theme of Jenga blocks. We removed the blocks in small steps and placing them in different positions. Some seemed like they were marching and others falling onto the bundle.Building them back up again and back in their box. We took turns moving the blocks slowly and taking photographs. We then uploaded our saved photos to Adobe Premier Pro . Went on Free sound to find some music added this in and played around reducing sounds and adding others. Finally, File, Export,Media, Format AVI . Then upload to YouTube.

What went well ?

We all had great fun creating this short animation and worked well as a team.

What gave you problems ?

As we had taken the photographs on two different camera’s this created a nightmare for us as when we saved all the photographs and uploaded them onto Adobe Premier Pro they didn’t run in order. So trying to work out where they started from and to link them in the correct order was a big problem. We seemed to waste quiet a bit of time because of this.

What would you do different the next time ?

We would make sure that only one camera was used and the correct settings for the right format we used.

Group working Opinion ?

I personally preferred working in a group for this kind of project . We all had different ideas about to make our animation work. We all listened to each other and worked out what was best. Turned out to be great fun.

You can save videos on sites like You tube, your videos are safe and secure here but only if you want others to see them . If not change the settings to private and now can embed video in web page. Register in to You tube ,click on Upload select the files and check settings.
